Am, Is and Are
Am, Is and Are are forms of the verb “to be.”
They are used to show a state/condition or to form the Present Continuous Tense.
Am → I
Is → He, She, It
Are → We, You, They
Examples:
She is happy. → state
She is playing. → continuous action
Easy difference
Do/Does → help an action verb:
Does she play?
Am/Is/Are → show a state or join with -ing:
Is she happy? / Is she playing
